Crystals and other gemstones are beautiful and fascinating, each with its own history and mystical properties. A gemstone can be carved, polished and cut to create jewellery. Diamond, ruby, emerald and sapphire are precious, while other crystals are semi-precious although they are all as beautiful as each other. Certain rocks such as lapis lazuli and opal, and occasionally organic materials such as amber are also used and while not crystals, are gemstones.

The eye catching colour is the most notable physical feature. Each crystal has a unique crystalline structure and how this interacts with light determines the optical properties and its colour. It is this uniqueness and the organic nature of crystals that makes them so individual and precious.

Gemstones are set in 925 Sterling Silver or 22 Carat gold vermeil frames with matching shepherds hook ear wires or chains.

Vermeil is a high quality form of gold plating in which a thick layer of gold (this must be more than 2.5 microns and between 14 Carat and 22 Carat) is coated over 925 Sterling Silver. It is commonly referred to as 'gold filled'.
