Known as a 'Kasumi' pearl, this distinctive pearl has been grown in the lakes of South China Sea islands since the famous Japanese Lake Kasumi pearl became extinct in the 1980's. A-AA grade: very good shape, natural colour and lustre, with thick durable nacre (surface). Please study the photographs; baroque pearls, while often large have a mildly furrowed or 'rippled' surface and are rarely entirely uniform in shape. These characteristics are their charm.
Vermeil is a high quality form of gold plating in which a thick layer of gold (this must be more than 2.5 microns and between 14 Carat and 22 Carat) is coated over 925 Sterling Silver.
