Pearl Collection
Pearl jewellery includes handpicked cultured seawater or freshwater pearls farmed across the coastlines and islands of the South [China] Sea on 925 Sterling Silver or 22 Carat gold vermeil beads, clasps and other findings.
I am particularly fond of cultured freshwater 'Kasumi' pearls, an unusual style of pearl that are still grown on islands in the South Sea after the distinctive Japanese Lake Kasumi pearl became extinct in the 1980's. Baroque pearls such as these that are commonly worn large have a mildly furrowed or 'rippled' surface and are rarely entirely uniform in shape. These unique characteristics, combined with a beautiful lustre radiate charm.
Vermeil is a high quality form of gold plating in which a thick layer of gold (this must be more than 2.5 microns and between 14 Carat and 22 Carat) is coated over 925 Sterling Silver. It is commonly referred to as 'gold filled'.
Pearls are at least A-AA grade with a very good shape, natural colour and lustre, and with a thick durable nacre (surface).
Each item is shipped with a Certificate of Authenticity inside a luxury handmade paper box wrapped in plain tissue paper. There is no price label inside.
